About Maxon Technologies

Maxon’s Motivation

Controlling corrosion and erosion presents one of the most daunting challenges for asset managers tasked with safeguarding critical infrastructure across various industries. Often viewed as a lost battle, each corrosion/erosion case appears unique, demanding a customized solution and posing significant risks for asset managers.

Consequently, the treatment of the vast majority of corrosion/erosion cases is consistently delayed until assets become too damaged for repair. This procrastination incurs an annual worldwide penalty estimated at a staggering $3.5 trillion.

Maxon’s Vision

Historically, Maxon operated on the premise that the vast majority of corrosion and erosion cases, comprising 90% or more, could be effectively treated from start to finish using a small number of solutions. If successful in achieving this, contractors would be incentivized to become proficient in these solutions, as they would be equipped to address virtually any corrosion/erosion project without acquiring new expertise.

Simultaneously, asset maintenance managers would perceive refurbishment projects involving corroding/eroding assets as carrying much lower risk. Ultimately, corrosion/erosion control could be regarded as standardized.

Maxon’s Endeavor

For over a decade, Maxon has been fully devoted to this mission. Development dedicated efforts to developing end-to-end solutions for corrosion and erosion control. Motivated by the staggering estimated annual loss of $3.5 trillion to these issues, Maxon recognized the absence of standardized solutions within the industry.

Unlike competitors focusing on singular challenges like rust inhibition or chloride reduction, Maxon aimed to provide holistic solutions accessible to asset managers without requiring extensive expertise or application expertise.

Understanding the multifaceted nature of the challenge, Maxon's founders endeavored to bring to market a comprehensive solution addressing all critical aspects of corrosion/erosion treatment.

To claim industry standard status, the solution would be required to address the vast majority of use cases in this space with only a small number of solution variations. Additionally, industry standard status would require the solutions be fully green, non-toxic, non-flammable, easy to apply, and provide support for ESG compliance.

After years of development and testing, Maxon has successfully achieved this stringent objective, offering standardized, one-stop solutions for corrosion and erosion control.
